Batch #5 2026 Release

Over the last decade, we have been experimenting to recreate a product that would honor the liquid Jack Daniel's created at the end of the 1800s, all while keeping up with the growing demand for Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey around the world.

The first aged stated whiskey from the Jack Daniel Distillery was released in the early 1900s. Our archives tell us Jack Daniel Distillery released 10, 12, 14, 18, and 21-year-old whiskey between the early & the mid-1900s. To honor our distillery's past, our Master Distiller, Chris Fletcher handcrafted this aged-stated whiskey and evolved our whiskey process to achieve a rare flavor profile. Jack Daniel's Aged Series highlights the modern-day world-class whiskey-making expertise of Jack Daniel Distillery while honoring our past. To reinforce Jack Daniel Distillery's history in aged whiskey, the label on this bottle gives a nod to the original cartouche on Jack Daniel’s age-stated bottles from a century ago.

The ingredients and whiskey making process of Jack Daniel's 10-year-old Tennessee Whiskey is the same grain bill as the classic Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey of 80% corn, 12% malted barley and 8% rye. Unaged whiskey is mellowed drop by drop through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal before entering the barrel. The Tennessee Whiskey barrels have been aging in the upper floors of our barrelhouse and then methodically relocated to the lower ricks to extend the aging process. The extreme weather variation at different locations in the barrel houses along with longevity in our handmade oak barrels creates an intense, unique character of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey at 97 proof.

Batch 5 combines mature oak structure with the familiar fruit, caramel and spice characteristics associated with Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey. Aromas of cooked apple and caramel are layered with soft oak, leading into a palate of rich molasses, chocolate and barrel spices. The additional maturation contributes greater concentration, complexity and layers of oak, char and warming spice. Its finish is exceptionally long and warm, allowing the darker sweetness and seasoned barrel character to linger.

Tasting Notes:

Aroma: Cooked caramel apple and soft oak.

Taste: Oak-forward with layers of fruit, chocolate and barrel spice.

Finish: Long and warm.

"Delivering a consistently good pour, the latest batch of Jack Daniel’s 10 Year will leave consumers wanting this to be a year-round release." - Jordan Moskal, Breaking Bourbon

"A delightful installment into this series, this 2026 expression is a standout in the series. Very fruity on the nose, the apples of 2025 are well evidenced and complemented by enough cinnamon to create a lively apple pie character, complete with follow-up layers of cloves and ginger. The palate follows right along, evoking a menthol-infused gingerbread cake, complete with notes of rum raisin, all slathered in apple butter. Sweet but amply oaky, the whiskey is easy-drinking but also carries plenty of weight, a (slight) complaint I suggested last year, that the 10 year old was a little too innocuous. That’s not the case with this release, which is balanced on a pinpoint, its fruit, spice, and tannic wood notes all in balance. The best release of the series to date." - Christopher Null, Drinkhacker (90 Points)

"Not surprisingly, the nose on this is the simplest of the three: baking spice aplenty, tropical fruits in equal measure, a whiff of acetone that–in whiskey, I find pleasant–and a little chocolate covered cherry. On the palate it's a fruit bomb awash in overripe banana and pineapple. Vanilla cream and caramel move in slowly and richly, leaving no tingle despite its modest 97 proof. With its prom king polished manners, this thing is darn near sessionable." - Bourbon Banter
