In collaboration with Barcelo Rum, E. Leon Jimenes Rum was first bottled in 2013 to commemorate the 110th Anniversary of La Aurora Cigars, and to celebrate the Company’s extraordinary history.
Leon Jimenes Rum has earned a score of 94 points with the Beverage Testing Institute, and in 2020, a Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (where 1,500 – 2,000 spirits compete, with no more than 10 Double Gold Medal awards given to a category).
And, if that wasn’t enough, E. Leon Jimenes Rum is championed in the US by NBA Hall of Famer Karl Malone – who as its official ambassador, is proud to stand behind this Rum, one that he proudly pairs with his Barrel Aged by Karl Malone Cigars for a winning combination.

Tasting Notes:
Colour: Amber with copper tones, bright and crystalline.
Aroma: Excellent wood, with aroma of ripe fruit and hints of fig. Medium shade vanilla. Close, long and soft.
Palate: The product opens wide, warm and well-balanced mouth. To finish with a sweet taste inheritance of the sugar cane.

Aromas and flavors of vanilla, caramel, and toffee, bread pudding, baking spices, clove with candied black pepper with a round, crisp, dryish medium body and a warming, subtle, medium-long finish with touches of toffee, orange and apricot marmalade, brown sugar black cherries, and brown sugar Pop Tart.
