This Sherry seasoned heritage and luscious richness is the inspiration for its name 'Oscuro', meaning dark in Spanish.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWhen the casks are at the peak of maturation, the whisky is gently reduced to 46.5% alcohol by volume with natural spring water drawn from boreholes deep under The Macallan Estate. It is then matured in slumbering casks for at least six months, thereby allowing the flavours to 'mary' and harmonise.
